Does your child need medical care? IHCR also provided children’s health care. Our GPs can help answer any questions or concerns about your child’s health and well-being. In the Netherlands antenatal care, new born baby checks and regular check-up to monitor your child’s growth and development is given by specialists in special clinics.
We fully understand the concerns for your child(ren). Therefore, it’s no problem for us to see your child urgently if they feel unwell. Don’t hesitate to contact us, even after regular opening hours. Our GPs can treat common childhood diseases and non-serious accidents as minor trauma and cuts.
Intolerances and allergies
If your child has an allergy or you suspect an allergy, our GPs can make an assessment, provide you with advice or refer your child to a pediatrician. Children who often have tummy pain or skin rashes may have a food intolerance. There are no tests for food intolerances, but our GPs can help you monitor the symptoms and the food your child eats. When certain foods are cut out of the child’s diet, this may offer a solution to the problems.
In the Netherlands there is an extensive National Immunisation Program available to protect agains infectious diseases. For more information about this program, read rivm.nl/en/national-immunisation-programme. These vaccinations will be carried out by the consultatiebureau.
