Covid-19 Fit to fly certificate

We have temporarily suspended our services for Covid tests and certificates. More information can be found here.

We are not affiliated with the Dutch CoronaCheck app; our test results cannot be used to generate a QR-code for the European green pass. We only give out our own certificates, usually for those travelling outside of Europe.

On this page you will find information on how to request a Fit to Fly certificate, and test for Covid-19.

After you fill out the form, we will contact you to schedule a physical appointment.
If you have COVID-19 related symptoms, please call 0800 – 1202 to get tested.

The test:
–  Panbio™ COVID-19 Ag Rapid Test Device (result in 15 minutes)
–  RT-PCR test (result by next morning, or max 48 hours*)
–  Serological test (result in 72 hours*)

For which exact test you need, we refer you to the organisation or country requesting this test. iHCR is not responsible for selecting the correct test for you.

* We cannot 100% guarantee the result within 48 or 72 hours. We do have good agreements with our contracted lab, but technical malfunctions or other unforeseen circumstances can cause delays. We will try our best to keep you informed if this does happen.

– Only the Fit to Fly certificate – € 30,- / € 0 for insured Blaak patient
– Rapid Ag test and certificate – € 60,- / € 30,- for insured Blaak patient
– Serological test and certificate – € 65,-

– RT-PCR test and certificate – € 120,-

The fee must be paid 1 weekday before the scheduled appointment.
If you are a registered patient at Huisartsenpraktijk Blaak with Dutch insurance, you will not have the consultation fee. For the PCR and serological test, registered Blaak patients pay the same fee as everyone else.

The Dutch “basisverzekering” wil not cover any of these fees. iHCR is not responsible for any possible co-pays or non-covered services, so please inquire beforehand with your health insurer.

House Rules

  • Covid: A mask is mandatory. Come alone. Cancel if you develop symptoms.
  • Aggression: It’s not tolerated, whether physical or verbal.
  • Cancellations: Please cancel 24h in advance, so we have the time to schedule another patient in your place. If your flight gets cancelled, contact us as soon as possible.
  • No-shows: Appearing late, not appearing or not answering the doctor’s call can have various understandable reasons. However, we will bill you a no-show fee of €15,00 (10 minutes) or €30,00 (20 minutes).
  • Refunds: We can refund you the full amount if you cancel >24h in advance or if you had an understandable reason to cancel late.

Failure to comply with these rules can result in the denial of access to non-urgent healthcare services in the future.

Can I get tested here if I have symptoms?

No. In accordance with government regulations, you must get tested through the GGD (governmental organisation). It’s a PCR test completely free of charge for anyone residing in The Netherlands.
Keep your BSN number on hand to book the test.

Book your test online:
Or call 0800-1202.

You should be able to get tested and receive the result within 48 hours.

What will the certificate state?

Without test:
It will state you are clear of any COVID-19 symptoms after being examined by a physician at iHCR. It will declare you Fit to fly without restrictions.

We shall also add your identity document number, since some countries use this to confirm the certificate is yours. This must be the same identity document (passport/ID) you will travel with.

With test:
It will state the above, and say that the test  was negative. We shall state the exact time stamp the test was conducted, as well as the type (+ brand) of test.

The certificate is in English and signed/stamped by a GP.

How does your specific test device work?

Panbio™ COVID-19 Ag Rapid Test Device, approved by the EU with a CE marking (source).
It’s a nasopharyngeal swab, the result follows in 15 minutes.

RT-PCR test: Nasopharyngeal swab, the result usually follows the next morning or maximum 48 hours.*

Serological test: Through a blood test, the result follows in 72 hours.*

* We cannot 100% guarantee the result within 48 or 72 hours. We do have good agreements with our contracted lab, but technical malfunctions or a borderline result (neither negative nor positive) can cause delays. We will try our best to keep you informed if this does happen.

What documents do I bring?

You will be asked to bring your identity document, the same you will travel with, to make sure the certificate has the correct information on it (such as document number).

If you do not bring your identity document, we shall base it on the form you submitted. If it contained any errors, we shall not be held responsible.

How quickly will the certificate be ready?

Rapid antigen: You can take your certificate with you immediately after your appointment, printed out.

RT-PCR and serological test: Once we receive the results, we will securely e-mail you your certificate in PDF format (also in the weekend). You can also stop by to pick it up if you need a physical copy and have no printer.

You can get tested Monday, Tuesday and Friday. We are also open on some Thursdays.
As for the certificate, we can send that to you Monday through Sunday.
